Prince George, 8, and Princess Charlotte, 6, will return to St Thomas’s School in Battersea after the summer holidays tomorrow. Upon their return to the classroom, the Cambridges’ children will have the opportunity to try 60 extra-curricular clubs at the £23,430-per-year independent school.

Some of the clubs offered by St Thomas’s are commonly available at other private schools in Britain.

Rugby, netball and public speaking are among the most “traditional” clubs available to students after the end-of-day school bell rings.

If either of the young royals inherits the Queen’s passion for horse riding, they will also be able to join the equestrian club.

According to the Mirror, Prince George could join St Thomas’s swimming club, following in his father’s footsteps.

The paper claimed the 8-year-old has had regular swimming lessons while at school and suggests he could emulate his father’s success in the pool.

The Duke of Cambridge, 39, took on the presidency of the British Sub-Aqua Club.

The position was previously held by his father Prince Charles and his late grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh.

While speaking at a BSAC event, William said: “It’s a great honour to be here with my father and accept the presidency of the British Sub-Aqua Club, continuing that from my grandfather as well.”

“I hope that one day my son George might follow in our footsteps,” he added.

During his student days, Prince William captained the polo team at St Andrew’s University in Scotland.

While George is tipped to take a poolside plunge, his sister Charlotte is said to love dancing.

“My daughter Charlotte loves dancing,” revealed the Duke of Cambridge.

“My daughter Charlotte loves dancing,” revealed the Duke of Cambridge.

With this in mind, the 6-year-old might be interested in joining St Thomas’s break dancing, ballet or modern dance clubs.

But the south west London school also offers some far less conventional clubs.

Pottery, ninja kids and karate are among the clubs considered “on-trend” that are available to George and Charlotte.

Inside the classroom, the Cambridge children will study many standard subjects, including literacy, numeracy and science.

The Battersea-based school is just a 14-minute drive away from Prince William and Kate Middleton’s home at Kensington Palace.
