Last week Harry celebrated his 37th birthday, while he and his wife Meghan featured on the cover of Time magazine after being listed among the world’s 100 most influential people. It has also been widely speculated by royal experts that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will return to the UK before Christmas so that their three-month-old daughter Lilibet can meet the Queen. Harry and Meghan caused an alleged rift in the Royal Family after their unprecedented decision to step back from senior royal duties in 2020.
The Sussexes subsequently took part in a two-hour CBS interview with Oprah Winfrey in March where they made claims about their time in the Firm which allegedly furthered tensions.
However, despite quitting the Royal Family, Harry and Meghan continue to use their royal titles. and are styled as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Speaking on Channel 5 documentary Fergie & Meghan: Inconvenient Royals, a commentator stressed that Meghan and Harry “can’t be blamed” for using their royal title.
Freelance journalist Tiwa Adebayo said: “For Meghan she’s still married to a prince ‒ you can’t escape it.

“Having that attached to you, you almost can’t blame them for using their titles which they still both legally have.
“Obviously neither of them use their HRH titles any more.
“Both Meghan and Fergie are Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Fergie, Duchess of York.“
Since February 2020 when the Sussexes announced their departure from the royals, they have set up Archwell production company and agreed multi-million pound deals with Netflix, Spotify and Apple TV+.
Harry has also announced he is writing a “wholly truthful” memoir likely to be released in 2022.
All the Sussexes’ endorsements have allegedly caused strain on their reportedly tense relationship with the Royal Family.
Dr Anna Whitlock claimed on the Channel 5 documentary that it made “total sense” from a commercial perspective that Meghan had kept her royal title.
Dr Whitlock said: “Commercially it makes total sense to have those titles.

“There’s been the establishment of Archwell productions which is the means in which Harry and Meghan make money.”
Part of the couple’s decision to leave the Firm was so they could be financially independent.
Ms Adebayo added that Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, who divorced Prince Andrew in May 1996, is the commercial “blueprint” for making money after quitting the Firm.
Ms Adebayo said: “Fergie has been the blueprint.
“She was the first to do it ‒ she was the first to make a living outside the Royal Family and to continue to do that.
“Especially after the Queen very publicly said she wouldn’t take responsibility for Fergie’s debts.”
The Duchess of York famously starred in a number of advertisements for Ocean Spray cranberry juice.
She subsequently landed a $1.7million (£1.24million) deal with Weightwatchers, according to the Telegraph and also released the tell-all memoir My Story.
