Prince Harry admitted during his sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey that he still has an immense amount of love towards his older brother, Prince William. However, when Oprah asked him to detail where his relationship with him currently stands, the Duke of Sussex responded: “As I said before, I love William to bits. “We’ve been through hell together and we have a shared experience, but we are on different paths.”
While looking visibly shaken, the Duke added: “The relationship is ‘space’ at the moment
“And time heals all things, hopefully.”
Earlier in the conversation, Prince Harry expressed how he felt for not only his brother, but also his father Prince Charles, and how he views their roles as kings-in-waiting as a “trapped” role within the institution of the monarchy.
He said: “It’s a part of the role. That’s what’s expected, no matter who you are in the family, no matter what’s going on in your personal life, no matter what’s just happened.
“My father and my brother, they are trapped. They don’t get to leave [their roles].
“And I have huge compassion for that.”
Many royal fans were saddened by Harry’s comments as he used to be incredibly close to his brother.
The two used to have a playful relationship – often teasing each other in public, especially during sporty engagements.
Unique footage filmed in June, 2003, shows Harry teasing William for forgetting his boots before a polo match.
He says: “You’re an idiot.
“Get this on camera. You forgot your boots!”
Prince William, then adds: “That’s another classic.
“That’s just about the stupidest thing I could have done.”

Harry also often joked about his brother’s hair – or lack of.
When the first portrait of him and Prince William together was unveiled ten years ago, Harry claimed his own hair was “too ginger”.
He then took a dig at his brother’s appearance, joking William was not painted bald enough.
Harry, who at the time was 25 years old, was handed a copy of the picture of the brothers in military uniform during a charity visit to Barbados.

The Prince said: “I don’t know, I’m a little bit more ginger in there than I am in real life, I think.
“And he got more hair so, apart from that, it is what it is, but it’s nice.
“It could have been worse.”
The comment was reportedly the latest in a line of public jokes between the brothers about their hair.
The month before, during his visit to Australia and New Zealand, William referred to Harry as “the ginger one” during a speech.
Harry also joked his brother started going bald when he was 12.
