Prince Harry, 36, appeared in the background of Meghan Markle’s birthday video where she encouraged friends to get involved in her 40×40 intiative. The Duke of Sussex made a brief appearance through a window as he juggled three balls in the garden on camera. Broadcaster Danny Kelly said he was “disappointed” to see Harry like that and suggested he is no longer an “alpha male”.

Speaking to GB News, Mr Kelly said: “I don’t dislike him, I don’t like him but with Harry, I’m slightly disappointed because she (Meghan) definitely wears the trousers in the relationship.

“He’s not an alpha male, he used to be an alpha male, he no longer is… jumping out of helicopters with machine guns.

“Now he’s in the background waving through a window while Meghan does this two-minute video which was self-publicity by the way because the book she’s trying to sell was being used to prop up the camera.

“I don’t think that people are disliking of her for anything but I think they’ve gone totally woke.

“He flies back in a private plane! The guy has no concept of public awareness. If he wants us to commute less, please you’ve got to be aware of what we perceive and you are jetting back on a £200,000 private charter.

“People are just going to say, ‘what’s the point of me putting my recycling out every week?'”

Actress Melissa McCarthy, who is seen in the clip discussing the campaign with Meghan, explained Harry’s thoughts ahead of the filming.

Prince Harry’s ‘break’ could ‘heal’ family relations says Junor

She told Access Hollywood: “She’s [Meghan Markle] doing such an amazing thing to celebrate her 40th.

“I just love that she is like, ‘Oh, what can I do to put some good and help some people out?’ Well that is awfully nice.

“Then in comes Harry and he’s like, ‘I can juggle’… Then he’s like, ‘Is it going to be weird if I stand outside and juggle?’

“I was like, ‘Weird in a way that will make me watch it five million times!’”

It comes as Harry flew to Aspen, Colorado to compete in a Sentebale polo match on Thursday after donating 1.5 million dollars (£1.1m) from the proceeds of his upcoming memoirs to the charity he co-founded.

The royal family is braced for the publication of Harry’s memoirs next year which he has written “not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become”.

Harry set up Sentebale, in memory of his mother Diana, Princess of Wales, in Lesotho in 2006 to help vulnerable children in southern Africa affected by extreme poverty, inequality, and the HIV/Aids epidemic.

The Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup was postponed last year because of the pandemic.

Harry said he was thrilled to be supporting Sentebale in person and his donation was one of several he planned to make to charitable organisations.
