Prince William, 40, and Prince Harry, 38, once had a close relationship, but since Harry’s royal exit in 2020, the brothers are said to have drifted further and further apart. Speaking on the latest episode of Royally Us, royal expert and author Christopher Anderson discussed Harry and William’s ongoing tense relationship, particularly following the reuniting of the brothers upon the Queen’s death.
Speaking of potentially welcoming Harry “back into the fold”, Mr Anderson said: “Sure Charles would like everybody to be there, and doing their jobs.
“It’s in his interest to get Harry back into the fold.”
Despite this, he added: “I’m not sure William is that interested.
“I think he’s got more of a grudge against Harry at this time.
“It’s just going to get worse, I think, as time goes on, so we’ll see how they handle it.”
Mr Anderson also said: “I think its interesting how every little moment is dissected.
“People were criticising William for not opening the door for Kate, where Harry, of course the very gallant man he is, went over and did that for his wife.”
He added: “Of course, William saw that someone else was coming to open the door for his wife, and they’ve done this a million times.
“So, everything they do, every tiny little gesture is going to be dissected.
“This adds to the pressure.”
William and Harry ‘won’t be friends they once were’ says expert
Last month, William and Harry’s relationship is in “a similar situation” to George VI and Edward VIII’s.
Speaking to the Daily Beast last month, Andrew Morton said that he “very much doubt” that there would be a reconciliation betweent the brothers.
The author of ‘Diana: Her True Story’ continued: “The closest parallel is George VI and Edward VIII.
“George VI adored his brother, like Harry adored William.
“They were inseparable, but then he abdicated, moved abroad and the relationship was never the same again.”

They met and spoke to mourners lining the streets and thanked them for their support.
