Prince William and Prince Harry’s 2010 Africa royal tour has provided a perfect snapshot of their past close bond. The younger Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex had embarked on their first joint overseas trip in the summer of that year to visit charities they supported in the southern part of the continent. Royally Obsessed podcast hosts Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito gave insight into what came out of it.

Ms Bowie told listeners: “William said later that one of the most moving moments from this Africa tour with his brother was seeing Harry’s work with Sentebale.

“It must have been so sweet and so moving to be able to see that in person for both of them really.

“Harry got to see William interact with the Tusk Trust.

“It just feels hard now knowing what we know.”

Ms Fiorito added: “It’s interesting to visualise where they were 11 years ago.

“William was just about to marry Kate – they got engaged four months after.

“This feels a little bit like a bachelor trip actually, the last hurrah.

“They probably chatted about it.”
