Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have shared their delight after the safe arrival of their baby daughter. The Queen’s granddaughter gave birth to her first child, a girl weighing 6lb 2oz, at 11.42pm on Saturday, September 18 at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, Buckingham Palace announced in a statement on Monday. Royal commentator Roberta Fiorito has explained the latest addition to the Royal Family has a title from her Italian roots.
Speaking on the Royally Obsessed podcast, Ms Fiorito said: “Beatrice’s and Edo’s baby girl was born on Saturday.
“She’s eleventh in line to the throne and the Queen’s twelfth great-grandchild.
“I cannot wait for them to announce the name.
“It took Eugenie 11 days as I can recall for her to announce August’s name on Instagram.
“I feel the name guesses are Elizabeth, Victoria, very traditional but also maybe something with a more unique Italian feel to nod to his Italian roots.
“There’s been Francessca, Charlotta, and others.”
She added: “This baby is a little bit different than her cousin August because she actually does have a title.
“It’s an Italian title, nobildonna which means noblewoman.”
