Princess Beatrice turns 31 today and royal family members will want to wish her a very happy birthday. Beatrice is the oldest daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York and Sarah Ferguson. One of Queen Elizabeth II’s eight grandchildren, she also has one younger sister, Princess Eugenie, 29.
Princess Beatrice’s father is the Queen’s second child, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, 59.
Both Princess Beatrice and her sister Eugenie are regulars at royal events despite being unlikely to ever sit on the throne themselves.
While Beatrice is a few years younger than Prince Harry and Prince William, the royal cousins would have often spent time together at family events.
The Queen is currently in Balmoral for her annual break and is known to enjoy hosting family there throughout the summer.
Beatrice and Eugenie have happy memories of visiting Balmoral as children and Beatrice has even described the stately Scottish home as “the most beautiful place on earth.”
While it hasn’t been confirmed if Princess Beatrice will visit Balmoral this summer, she clearly has happy memories of her trips to see her grandmother there.
