Princess Beatrice, 33, has given birth to her baby girl, the Royal Family has confirmed. There’s now been a major re-shuffle in the official line of succession to the throne – including changes for Princess Eugenie, August Brooksbank, and even Zara Tindall.

Beatrice was rushed to hospital on Friday after which she gave birth to her first child the next day.

The daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson gave birth to the baby girl on Saturday at 11.42pm.

In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.

“The baby weighs 6 pounds and 2 ounces.

“The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news. The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.

“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.”

After spending days without any news from inside the hospital, the Royal Family finally announced the arrival of Beatrice’s new baby.

The latest royal baby is the Queen’s 12th great-grandchild.

In addition, Baby Mapelli-Mozzi is the fourth royal baby arrival this year alone with the others including Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor, August Brooksbank and Lucas Tindall.

Beatrice’s baby will be 11th in line to the throne, jumping ahead of Princess Eugenie.

It’ll follow Beatrice, who is 10th in line to the throne, and Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, in ninth.

Meanwhile, Eugenie has now dropped to 12th place and her son, August, has now dropped down to 13th.

Eugenie’s first son August was born on February 9, and was named after Queen Victoria’s consort Prince Albert, who had Augustus as a middle name.

Beatrice’s baby won’t have a princely title due to an obscure royal rule from the early 1900s.

Letters Patent by King George V revealed that only children of the coverage, the male-line grandchildren, and the Prince of Wales’s eldest son, were allowed to hold a princely title.

Beatrice and Edouardo were married in a secret ceremony back in July 2020.

The private wedding took place at The Royal Chapel of All Saints, at Royal Lodge, Windsor.
