Princess Kate has shared a hint about what her outfit for the Coronation could look like – with royal fans speculating that it may actually be referring to her Coronation tiara. Alison spoke of the hint on Friday’s episode of This Morning and said she asked the 41-year-old royal what she was “wearing for the Coronation”.
She then added that she told Kate that she had a feeling that she will “wear blue.”
Responding, the royal said that there is “a hint of blue” – much to the delight of royal fans.
Many even speculated that the hint of blue may not be referring to her dress, but actually to her accessories.
It comes after weeks of speculation over whether Kate will wear a tiara to the Coronation.
There have been suggestions that some ladies, including Kate and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, may not wear tiaras like is tradition.
One royal jewellery blogger told PEOPLE that it is possible a daytime formal dress code could be set which would see tiaras replaced with hats.
Lauren Kiehna, the expert behind the blog The Court Jeweller, explained: “I’m certainly hoping we’ll see coronation tiaras, but it’s possible that Charles is following the example of some of his European counterparts, like the King of the Netherlands, and setting a daytime formal dress code for the event.
“That would mean that we could still see some grand jewels, like necklaces, brooches and earrings but no tiaras.
Following the Wales’s Birmingham visit last week, Alison took to Twitter to post a picture of herself posing alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Alison wrote that she’d had “the best time” with the royal couple.
She also praised the couple for being “down-to-earth”, adding that she was “still buzzing” from meeting them.
Princess Kate will be attending the Coronation, alongside Prince William, their three children and many other members of the Royal Family.
The Princess of Wales’s eldest son, nine-year-old Prince George, will hold a special role within the ceremony.
The young royal will act as one of the King’s four Pages of Honour.
