Lady Margarita is the daughter of the Earl and Countess of Snowdon and the granddaughter of the late Princess Margaret, the Queen’s sister. She was a bridesmaid at Prince William and Kate’s royal wedding in 2011.

Lady Margarita was born at London’s Portland Hospital on May 14 2002.

Her brother is Viscount Linley, Charles Armstrong-Jones.

Lady Margarita’s father David Armstrong-Jones is the son of Princess Margaret and photographer Antony Armstrong-Jones.

In February it was announced that the Earl and his wife Serena are to divorce after 26 years of marriage.

A spokesman for the couple said: “The Earl and Countess of Snowdon have amicably agreed that their marriage has come to an end and that they shall be divorced.

“They ask that the press respect their privacy and that of their family.”

Lady Margarita is not the only member of the Royal Family to spend her birthday under the coronavirus lockdown.

The Queen celebrated her 94th birthday on April 21 at Windsor Castle, where she is staying with Prince Philip, 98.

She moved to her Berkshire residence from Buckingham Palace in March.

Despite the pandemic the monarch continues to work, and is holding her weekly audience with the Prime Minister by phone and receiving her daily red boxes of Government papers.

A spokeswoman for Buckingham Palace said: “The Queen continues to be busy and will follow appropriate advice on engagements.”

It follows reports that the Queen could withdraw from public life for months due to the coronavirus crisis.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son Archie also celebrated his birthday last week.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are starting a new life in the US, marked the special day by releasing a new video of the tot.

In the clip, filmed by Harry, Meghan is reading the children’s story Duck! Rabbit! to her son on her lap.

The video was posted on Save the Children UK’s Instagram page.

The clip is in support of the charity’s Save with Stories campaign to raise funds for children and families struggling due to the coronavirus crisis in the UK and around the world.
