The Queen is preparing her son Prince Charles and grandson Prince William to take over the throne, according to royal experts. There is growing concern among palace officials that the coronavirus pandemic could force Queen Elizabeth II to avoid public gatherings “for years to come”. Speaking on Royally Us, Us Weekly Correspondent Christina Garibaldi outlined how the Queen could be forced to work “behind closed doors for a number of years”.
Co-host Molly Mulshine said: “It is good they are getting ready because you need know what will happen.
“Charles’ big goal, as we’ve known for a long-time, is to slim down the monarchy and make sure it’s not this giant extended family, that is has been historically.”
Ms Garibaldi said: “The Queen is making sure that Charles and William are much more hands-on.
“We have seen William do an event with the Queen recently. They have Zoom calls regularly to go over things.”

She added: “The Queen is very communicative, and communicates openly about what the future could hold.
“We don’t know what is going to go on with COVID. We don’t know if she is going to be forced to be behind closed doors for a number of years.
“We don’t know what will happen. She is 94. But she is not slowing down anytime soon.”
Ms Mulshine added: “Even if she has to go behind closed doors, she is the kind of person who will just keep working.
“I think the biggest thing is how close in contact the Queen, William and Chalres are.”
This comes after a royal source said the monarch has repeatedly singled out William and Kate for praise over the “lack of drama and scandal” surrounding the pair.
The Queen is “very proud” of her grandson Prince William and his wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge according to royal insiders.
