The Royal Family has been rocked by bombshell allegations thrown at the Firm during Prince Harry and Meghan Markle controversial Oprah interview. Her Majesty is said to have been impressed with the Duchess of Cambridge’s response to the fallout. Kate is credited with acting as Prince William’s “pillar of strength” amid the fractious row with his brother Harry and seems to have won the Queen’s praise for “not buckling” amid the crisis.

A Royal source told Us Weekly: “The Queen is proud of her not buckling during this turbulent time and says she has more than proved her value to the family.

“As usual Kate is holding her head high and carrying herself with such dignity.”

It comes as Kate was described as her husband’s “pillar of strength” with a Palace insider insisting the couple depend on each other to help them through difficult times.

Prince William is faced with trying to navigate the very public fallout from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“Being in a strong, solid marriage to William helps.

“They lean on each other for support during difficult times and will talk through their problems.

“She’s been her husband’s pillar of strength throughout this whole ordeal.”

Prince William: Gap year friend on relationship with royal

During the unprecedented interview, Harry opened up on his relationship with his older brother.

He said: “I love William to bits. We’ve been through hell together, and we have a shared experience, but we are on different paths.

“The relationship is space at the moment, and time heals all things, hopefully.”

But Harry said he “will always be there” for William and his family.

“The word I was given was that those conversations were not productive.

“But they are glad that they have at least started a conversation.”
