Royal baby LIVE: Meghan Markle birth looms as Queen drops huge hint on due date

The Queen may have given away a massive clue to Meghan’s due date as her official diary shows she is to carry out in the next seven days only engagements taking place in Windsor. The monarch is to present on May 3 a service of the Royal Victorian Order at St George’s Chapel, the church in the grounds of Windsor Castle where Meghan and Harry celebrated their marriage on May 19 last year. And on May 7 she will throw a luncheon at her castle for the members of the Order of Merit.

These planned events signal the Queen’s desire to remain close to her grandson and Meghan, whose official due date has never been revealed by Kensington Palace.

But the Duchess of Sussex let slip some details regarding her pregnancy during a royal engagement in mid-January, helping royal fans to work out when the baby is due.

During a visit to Birkenhead in Wirral, Merseyside, Meghan told fans she was six months pregnant and that she would be expecting her royal baby to arrive towards the end of April or the very beginning of May.

This means Meghan and Harry’s baby could share their birthday with their little cousin Princess Charlotte, who was born on May 2.

The Queen has paid a surprise visit to heavily pregnant Meghan in late April at Frogmore Cottage, where the Duke and Duchess have recently moved in, according to The Sun.

A source told The Sun: “Her Majesty wanted to formally welcome the Sussexes to their new home so she was their first visitor.

“After all, they’ve practically moved into her back garden.

“She visited with other family members and Harry and Meghan were delighted to show them round.”
