The formerly labelled “fab four” suffered an awkward blunder today after both The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Cambridges appeared to be competing on Instagram uploading multiple posts, with one awkwardly scheduled at the same time.
On Wednesday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shared a post promoting his visit to Scotland, which was followed by a bombardment of snaps by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The Sussex visit aims to look at how local tourism can protect the environment and support local communities.
However, just five hours later Prince William and Kate posted a picture of the Duchess of Cambridge at a sporting event in aid of SportsAid, with both posts racking up around 200,000 likes.
The Instagram “competition” comes after at a rather awkward time for the Royal Family.
At the end of the week Meghan and Harry will return to the UK to complete their final royal duties.
With tensions clearly rising, the “fab four” could be set for a rathe awkward reunion.
Most awkwardly was the moment the brothers shared a post at the same time, both sharing their own endeavours to their accounts, each holding over 11 million followers.
This comes after an inside source came forward, claiming the drama surrounding the situation of Meghan and Harry’s “Royal Sussex” brand risks overshadowing Prince William.

This evening’s post on Harry’s account shows the Duke of Sussex promoting his talk at the Scottish summit.
The summit is on how to maintain a sustainable tourism industry, racking up thousands of likes.
Meanwhile, Prince William shared a picture promoting his visit to a homelessness project in Nottinghamshire.
The Duke of Cambridge was overshadowed by his brother, who wracked up over 80k more likes on his post.

The awkward blunder came as a source told the Sun: Prince William “Is glad that he is returning, however briefly – he wishes that it wasn’t at the same time as his Irish trip because he knows what will happen is that the spotlight as far as papers and TV are concerned will be fully on Harry and Meghan.
“He recognises that for the media this will be ‘the big story.’”
The tour of Ireland is particularly important as it’s the first carried out by any member of The Firm since Brexit.
Meanwhile, the spat continues over Harry and Meghan’s use of the word “Royal” in their “Sussex Royal” brand.
In a statement that sparked outrage from royalists across the nation, Meghan and Harry claimed the Queen does not have “jurisdiction” over their lucrative royal brand, including the term “royal” as they move overseas.
The statement also suggested that the palace is treating them differently to other family members.
However, an insider has revealed that although this has been “disappointing” for Meghan, her relationship with Prince Harry remains strong as the couple continue to focus on being model parents so son Archie.
A friend of the couple spoke to the Daily Mail on Wednesday and confirmed that Meghan was expressing her disappointment in the statement, but will continue to “rise above” what she perceives as the “jealousy and pettiness” of the palace.
The insider said that the Duchess felt she had “no choice” but to release the controversial statement.
They said: “Meghan said that [she and Harry] were left with no choice but to make a public statement.
“She said if anyone should feel insulted, it should be them.
“They never intended to capitalise on the word royal, and to insinuate they were somehow abusing their privileges is absurd.”
