The Greek prince married billionaire’s daughter, Nina Flohr earlier today in Athens. Philippos’s well-connected family means that there was likely to have been representatives from almost every monarchy in Europe at the wedding.

Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank previously invited the newlyweds to their own royal wedding in October 2018.

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi is good friends with Ms Flohr.

Prince Philippos’ family is closely linked to the British royal family.

Not only was Princess Diana his Godmother, but the Prince is also named after the Duke of Edinburgh.

Prince Philippos was born in London in 1986, at St Mary’s hospital, and raised in a 13-bedroom house bordering Hampstead Heath with four older siblings, Princess Alexia, Crown Prince Pavlos, Prince Nikolaos and Princess Theodora.

Godmother Princess Diana was a frequent visitor, along with Prince William and Prince Harry.

The prince’s other godparents include the late Prince Philip and King Juan Carlos of Spain.

Other high-profile Brits who attended the celebrations include Vogue writer Alice Naylor-Leyland and her husband Tom, who hosted the couple’s second wedding at their home in Cambridge.

Alice was named as one of Tatler’s “society swans” in 2018, and Tom is the son of Baronet Sir Philip Naylor-Leyland, part of a land-owning dynasty that controls the 17th Century Talbot hotel in Malton, North Yorkshire.

The Prince’s parents, Queen Anne-Marie of Denmark and King Constantine of Greece – who is also Prince William’s godfather – also attended the wedding, along with a number of other international royals.

This ceremony was the couple’s third wedding, having had two previous weddings both of which were much smaller and more intimate than today’s grand nuptials.

Prince Phillipos and Ms Flohr held their first wedding last December in a small civil ceremony in St Moritz, Switzerland.

The only witnesses were Prince Philippos and Ms Flohr’s respective fathers.

The intimate ceremony was then followed by a high society springtime celebration in Cambridgeshire, hosted by Ms Naylor-Leyland.

Prince Philippos currently works as a hedge fund analyst in New York, after graduating from Georgetown University in the USA.

Ms Flohr is the daughter of Swiss businessman Thomas Flohr, who founded the private jet charter company VistaJet.

While she works as a creative director at the company, she is also a successful entrepreneur in her own right.

Ms Flohr founded a nonprofit marine research facility, the Bazaruto Center for Scientific Studies in 2017.
