The Duchess of York likes to keep herself busy with a range of different professional ventures. On top of her work as a philanthropist, Sarah has written a number of children’s books and will soon debut her first novel.
However, something royal fans may not have been aware of is that the Duchess produced a blockbuster film led by a star-studded cast.
She worked on Young Victoria, a 2009 film about Queen Victoria which featured Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend.
Princess Eugenie made the revelation in an Instagram post as she paid tribute to Queen Victoria.
She wrote: “Today marks the 200th Anniversary of the birth of Queen Victoria (1819-1901).
“She reigned for almost 64 years and I’m very proud to be named after her.
“The first image is a portrait of Queen Victoria by Franz Xaver Winterhalter (1805-1873) @royalcollectiontrust
“The second is of Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend, who played Victoria and Albert in The Young Victoria (2009) – a film produced by @sarahferguson15.”
Royal fans expressed surprise over the Fergie’s role in the film.
