Shocking footage shows the moment a Mercedes-Benz driven by a teenager left a dual carriageway and smashed into a garage.

Sukie Singh, 50, wasn’t home when the car hit his home in Littleover, Derby, but his wife and daughter were and both rushed out to help the passenger emerging from the wreck.

The driver, 19, and another teen passenger were taken to hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Footage shows three people hobbling out of the car after it hits the building, the front of which was obliterated by the impact.

Sukie said: ‘My wife and daughter were at home in kitchen and heard a smash – their first concern was the driver and passenger.

‘I was on the way back from London when I got a phone call from my daughter saying someone had crashed into the garage.

‘On the way home I was trying to picture what happened and the devastation that was caused.

‘I was aware no one was hurt but I was thinking about the damage that had been done to my garage and contents and having to clear it all up.’

Derbyshire police said: ‘We were called to reports of a collision in Manor Road, Littleover, at just after 8pm on Sunday July 30.
