Spurs striker Harry Kane announces birth of first son

England and Spurs footballer Harry Kane has announced the birth of his first baby boy.

Louis Harry Kane was born on 29 December, the third child to Harry and his childhood sweetheart Kate, who already have two daughters.

The announcement, via Kane’s Twitter account, came a day before the Premier League game between Tottenham and Fulham was cancelled due to positive COVID tests in the Fulham camp.

The couple, who married in June 2019, had Ivy in 2017 and Vivienne in August 2018.

In July this year, the pair announced they were expecting a boy after sharing a football-themed gender reveal video.

Kane, 27, said the safe arrival of Louis was a “special way to end the year” and he “couldn’t be more proud” of his wife, while Twitter follows sent congratulations.

One read: “Another assist for Son by Harry Kane!” in reference to Kane’s Spurs striking partner Heung-min Son.
