The Duchess of Cornwall, 73, added that she “didn’t ask” which vaccine she was being administered, saying: “You take what you are given.”

Camilla made the comments during a visit with Prince Charles, 72, to a pop-up vaccination centre at Finsbury Park Mosque in central London.

The Duchess was asked if she had been given the jab and which one she had.

Camilla confirmed she received the AstraZeneca vaccine.

She added: “We have what we are given.

“I didn’t ask because I hate injections so much that I shut my eyes.

“Whatever comes out. You take what you are given.”

Camilla’s comments come as several EU countries have halted use of the jab due to reports of some people suffering blood clots following vaccination.

However the World Health Organisation (WHO), the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) have all said there is no evidence the jab causes blood clots.

The Duchess looked smart for the royal engagement in a grey skirt and jacket.

She completed her outfit with a pair of stylish knee-high heeled boots and carried a small black handbag.

During the visit, the Prince of Wales said he is “thrilled” his father Prince Philip has left hospital.

The Duke of Edinburgh, 99, was today discharged following a month-long stay which has seen him undergo heart surgery for a pre-existing condition.

When asked if he had spoken to Philip yet, Charles replied: “Oh yes, I have spoken to him several times.”
