Teen charged with attempted murder of child at Tate Modern

A 17-year-old male has been charged with attempted murder after a six-year-old boy was allegedly thrown from a viewing platform at the Tate Modern art gallery.

The teenager will appear before Bromley Youth Court on Tuesday.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward after the child fell on Sunday 4 August.

The injured boy remains in a stable but critical condition in hospital with his family, who continue to be supported by officers.

The boy was allegedly thrown from the 10th floor of the art gallery in London.

He is said to have landed on a fifth floor roof.

In a earlier statement the Metropolitan Police said the alleged victim and his family are French.
