Police in Scotland have tasered a man armed with a baseball bat after two officers were reportedly attacked. The incident took place in Paisley on Monday afternoon at around 3.30 pm with at least one police officer believed to have suffered head injuries. Shocked passersby recorded a video of the bat-welding suspect being cornered by police at a busy roundabout before being stunned.

Filmed from a passing van, the footage captures the moment a cop chases the suspect across a busy road.

The officer yelled repeated warning at the man to drop the bat as he aimed a taser.

“Oh my god, stop I don’t want to see this,” one of the passengers behind the camera can be heard saying.

Seconds later the policeman fires his taser and the suspect drops to the floor instantly.
