Royal expert Marlene Koenig predicted Archie’s upbringing will be very different to his cousins. During an interview with Express.co.uk, she joked Archie could grow up to be a surfer living out in California. She added, despite a potential laid back upbringing, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will ensure he knows about his family’s history.

She noted Archie will learn about the responsibilities of his cousins who will grow to have royal duties in the UK.

Ms Koenig said: “You are not going to see him dress the same way that British royals dress.

“If he is wearing shorts it is because it is hot.

“He will grow up in private schools but Meghan and Harry will probably make an effort for diversity education.

“He will grow up very differently.

“I am sure Archie will be raised in the knowledge of who his grandfather is and all that kind of stuff.”

Ms Koenig joked about the surprising differences Archie may have compared to the rest of the Royal Family.

She continued: “He is going to grow up in California, a really laid back lifestyle.

Meghan Markle: Archie ‘would have been protected’ says expert

“I was joking, that he could even be a surfer.

“But I also think he will be raised with the same idea that his royal cousins have services, that they will be doing things to help others but in different ways.”

Ms Koening also reflected on the possibility Archie could grow up in the limelight.

She said he could grow up in American celebrity circles due to his parents’ reputation.

Ms Koenig said: “So Archie and his sister will live a much more, I don’t want to use the word normal, they will be living the lives of very wealthy parents.

“They will be growing up in circles that include celebrities.

“I expect Archie and his sister to be taught the importance of helping others, who knows Archie could end up taking over from his father with Invictus or doing other things.

“They will be very different, a less formal life.”
