Three people known to a 10-year-old girl who was found dead at her home flew to Pakistan on one-way tickets the day before she was found, it’s been reported.
Sara Sharif was found dead at her home in Woking, Surrey in the early hours of August 10. She was alone in the house.
The BBC spoke to a travel agent in her home town who said he was contacted by someone known to Sara, wanting to buy tickets for three adults and five children.
The booking was made on August 8 and they flew the following day, the day before Sara’s body was discovered.
Police say they want to speak to three people who left the country on August 9. Officers haven’t named them.
Police in Pakistan say no formal approach has been made by the British authorities over the case. There is no extradition treaty between the two countries.
Earlier this week Sara’s mother spoke about her grief and disbelief that her daughter was dead.
Olga Sharif was divorced from Sara’s father, who had custody of the child.
A post-mortem examination was due to be carried out on Tuesday, but a cause of death has not been formally confirmed.
