Kate, Duchess of Cambridge has long been speculated of wanting to have a fourth child with Prince William. But these rumours have been batted away by a royal expert. Here are three reasons why it is unlikely the Duchess will be having another child.

Rumours Kate could be pregnant circulated after she was absent for 60 days from public duties.

But her recent return to work has well and truly put an end to these speculations.

However, royal fans hopeful of another royal baby may be disappointed, here are the three reasons the Duchess is unlikely to have another baby.

The Cambridges are happy with their trio of children.

It seems there may not be another sibling on the way for Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and three-year-old Prince Louis.

According to royal expert Nick Bullen, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are unlikely to add to their family.

Mr Bullen told Us Weekly: “My view is that they’ll probably stop here.”

He added: “I think they feel that they’ve got a pretty perfect family,”

The couple are committed to their charity work

As Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Prince Andrew have stepped down as senior royals, this has meant other members of the royal family will have to step up their royal duties.

Royal expert Andrew Lownie told Express.co.uk the couple will be given a “higher role” in the future.

Mr Bullen suggested the Cambridges will focus on their charity work in favour of expanding their family.

He said: “They are really focused, over the next 12 months, on their work.

“Both of them turn 40 next year, they are really keen to be promoting their charities, their initiatives and foundation.

“I think for them, the next 12 months are all about the work.”

Prince William doesn’t want a fourth child

The Duchess may be keen to have another child, but it seems her husband is content with three.

Mr Bullen said: ”I think Kate was always keen to follow with her parents and have that sort of family of five.”

During an official visit to Bradford before the pandemic, Kate addressed questions around the possibility of another child.

When asked if she would like to add to the Cambridge tribe she said: “I don’t think William wants any more.”
