Emergency services rushed to the crash on the A326 in Totton, Hampshire, at around 6.15am. Three vehicles, including a black Honda motorcycle and a white Yamaha motorcycle, were involved in the smash on the bypass.
The drivers of both the motorcycles, a 38-year-old man from Gosport, Hampshire, and a 49-year-old man from nearby Southampton, died at the scene.
Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers at this time, reports Hampshire Live.
A road closure has been put in place on the A326 in both directions while officers begin to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident.
Diversions are in place through Marchwood, a village along the River Test which meets the Solent.
Nearby Noadswood School put a message out to students and parents asking them to delay their arrival until 9am as staff were stuck in the resulting delays.
A spokesman for Hampshire Police said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw what happened, or saw the three vehicles driving in the area prior to the collision.
“In addition, if you have dash cam footage of the vehicles and/or the collision, please call us.
“Any information you have, no matter how insignificant you feel it might be, could help aid our investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 44210400737.
