A yellow weather warning is in place from just after midnight on Saturday 27 November until the evening. The Met Office has predicted delays to various modes of transport, including road, rail, air and ferry.
They have even suggested there could be damage to buildings from the strong winds, including roof tiles being blown from homes.
They have also broached the possibility of power cuts, and knock-on effects for mobile phone coverage and road closures.
The warning ends around 6pm on Saturday evening.
It covers almost all of the UK, barring a small part of southeast England.
