Police desperately searching for a 12-year-old girl last seen before Christmas are looking to locate her dad.
Concerns have been raised for Leona Peach who vanished more than a week ago on Monday, December 20.
The schoolgirl was last seen in the Hele Park area of Newton Abbot in south Devon at 9.15am.
It’s believed she could have travelled to nearby Bideford to be with her dad Billy Peach.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr Peach or Leona has been asked to come forward.
Detective Inspector Dave Pebworth, from Devon and Cornwall Police, has put out a plea directly to Leona.
He said: ‘Leona if you are reading this, we want you to know you are not in any trouble, please contact us, or someone you trust, to let us know you are safe.’
‘We would ask Mr Peach to get in touch as we believe he may be able to help us with our enquiries’, Detective Inspector Pebworth added.
‘We would also like to hear from anyone who may know of their whereabouts.’
‘We are supporting her friends and family and are appealing to Leona to contact home so that they know that she is safe and well.’
Leona is described as white, approximately 4ft 9in tall and of slim to medium build.
She has hazel-coloured eyes and long light-brown hair with a bald patch above her right ear.
The young girl is thought to have been wearing grey or blue leggings or skinny trousers with a dark-coloured fur coat when she disappeared. She was in flip flops and carrying a pink bag.
