Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their second bundle of joy, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, in June of this year. Baby Sussex now resides with her older brother Archie and her parents in California. As Meghan is American and the Sussexes have set up their permanent base in the States, it is likely a major American holiday will be celebrated by the family today.
Thanksgiving is being celebrated in the US today (November 25), and Meghan has recently spoken about how she will mark the occasion.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres this month, Meghan said the family will be having a relaxed Thanksgiving at their home in California.
Meghan is also known to be an enthusiastic chef, so the Duchess will likely be whipping up a delicious feast for the family.
Meghan told Ellen: “I love to cook, we’ll be home and just relax and sort of settle in.
“It’s our second Thanksgiving home in California, so it will be nice.”
Thanksgiving and the build-up to the festive season will undoubtedly be exciting for the Duke and Duchess and their little family.
The Sussexes are likely getting ready for the Christmas period, with the couple having sent charities Christmas cards in previous years.
Since Lilibet’s birth earlier this year, Meghan and Harry have not released a picture of their baby girl to the world.
So royal fans will be hoping the Duke and Duchess will release a picture of their happy family-of-four for the first time for their annual Christmas card this year.
At the moment, it is not clear exactly how the Royal Family will be spending Christmas this year, or whether Harry and Meghan will spend it in the UK or the US.
But whether the Sussexes meet the Queen at Christmas or a later date, the monarch will undoubtedly be thrilled to meet her 11th great-grandchild in the future.
Like many families last year, the Royal Family saw its Christmas plans disrupted by lockdown restrictions in the UK.

The Queen spent Prince Philip’s last Christmas with him at their Windsor Castle residence.
And the Queen is reportedly eager to get the family back together for Christmas at Sandringham in Norfolk this year.
A source told the Mirror: “This year, more than ever, it is incredibly important to Her Majesty to be surrounded by her loved ones.
“The Queen is totally committed to hosting everyone as she hopes to make it back to full health in the coming weeks.”
Every year, several members of the Royal Family descend on the Queen’s country residence for the festive season.
The Queen’s Sandringham Christmas tradition started in the 1980s, and other monarchs have spent Christmas at the residence in the past too.
The royals walk to the nearby St Mary Magdalene Church for a special Christmas Day service.
And while the royals enjoy their festive walk, they also greet well-wishers who line the route.
