Zara Tindall has been spotted offering comfort to other grieving members of the Royal Family as they wish a final goodbye to the late Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen’s eldest granddaughter, 41, is thought to have had a close relationship with the late monarch for a number of years. She is attending the state funeral alongside her husband, Mike Tindall, who donned commemorative medals for the occasion.

Princess Anne’s daughter looked visibly upset as she was spotted at the service, wearing a stylised collared coat and hat, shortly before 11am.

She had been accompanied by her husband at the previous service given by the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Dean of Westminster ahead of the beginning of the lying-in-state period.

She stood next to her cousin, Princess Eugenie, and looked visibly devastated throughout the service.

Zara had struggled to hold back tears as she viewed tributes to her grandmother along with the Princess Royal at Balmoral in the days after the news broke.
