Cops identify Citi Bike rider shot dead in Brooklyn

Police have identified the 47-year-old Citi Bike rider shot dead Saturday outside a Brooklyn housing complex as ex-con Deshawn Smart.

Smart was found at about 9:30 a.m. behind the Marcy Houses building at Marcy and Park avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no arrests as of Sunday morning.

Smart was convicted of attempted murder in the shooting of his uncle during an argument in the summer of 1995, court records show. He was released on parole in December 2010, state records show.
