Ava DuVernay Bringing The Exonerated 5 To The Emmys Is A Full-Circle Moment

Ava DuVernay brought the story of Central Park Five — now referred to as the Exonerated Five — to Netflix with her Emmy-nominated four-part miniseries, When They See Us. That was far from the end of their relationship, though. DuVernay brought the Exonerated Five to the 2019 Emmys as her dates, just like she previously promised.

Gwendoline Christie is channeling Jesus on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards

She’s no stranger to medieval-style costuming on set of “Game of Thrones,” and Gwendoline Christie took us back even further in history Sunday evening in an ensemble straight out of biblical times.

Christie’s Gucci gown, a bonafide showstopper on the Emmys red carpet, featured a sweeping crimson cape and gold and beaded accents fit for a king. Twitter users were quick to draw a clear comparison to none other than Jesus himself.

Strappy gold sandals, minimal eye makeup and a perfectly-coordinated red lip finished off the look.

Jenny McCarthy wears combat boots to the 2019 Emmys

Jenny McCarthy mixed pretty with punk for her 2019 Emmys ensemble.

The “Masked Singer” judge, 46, hit Sunday’s red carpet in a baby blue strapless Alexander McQueen dress with an asymmetrical raw hem that hit at mid-calf.

McCarthy styled the frock with some unconventional accessories: a black studded belt, matching heeled combat boots and a chunky silver chain necklace. She even finished her edgy look with a black manicure.

The star was on hand to host Fox’s Emmys red carpet coverage.

Jameela Jamil Left The 2019 Emmys Early, But Her Time There Was Worth It

Mere hours after stunning on the purple carpet in a robin’s egg blue gown, Jameela Jamil left the 2019 Emmys early because she was feeling sick. "Had to leave and get back into bed, because the fever and nausea caught up with me," she tweeted. "But I had a lovely time and I wish my cast the best tonight, I hope we win, but we already won just by being on this wonderful damn show. Love to everyone."

People Are Comparing Kendall Jenner's Emmys Dress to American Horror Story

Kendall Jenner just made her Emmys debut in a dress that covered her from head to toe in latex and florals.

Jenner wore a floral dress with a long-sleeved latex turtleneck top, leading some people to worry for how warm she must be in the 90-degree weather in L.A. on the big night.

Some people, however, pointed out that she looked extremely similar to the Rubber Man character in the first season of American Horror Story

AHS, but make it glamorous.
