How To Watch Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s Victory Speeches Tonight

President-elect Joe Biden and vice president-elect Kamala Harris are expected to deliver speeches at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT tonight (Saturday, November 7) following their projected victory of the 2020 presidential election.

Major broadcast networks and outlets including ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, FOX, and C-SPAN will air the primetime event. You can catch the PBS News Hour livestream from YouTube below. The pair will be speaking from Wilmington, Delaware, and Senator Harris is up first, per Deadline.

While this will be Biden and Harris’s first address following the election results, they have already acknowledged and celebrated their win earlier today. In a statement, the president-elect said, “I am honored and humbled by the trust the American people have placed in me and in Vice President-elect Harris. In the face of unprecedented obstacles, a record number of Americans voted. Proving once again, that democracy beats deep in the heart of America. With the campaign over, it’s time to put the anger and the harsh rhetoric behind us and come together as a nation. It’s time for America to unite. And to heal. We are the United States of America. And there’s nothing we can’t do, if we do it together.”

Harris also shared a video of her phoning Biden after the election was called. “We did it. We did it, Joe. You’re going to be the next President of the United States,” she tells him on the phone, dressed casually in workout gear.

Eric Trump’s Conspiratorial ‘People Know’ Tweet Elicits A Single Word Reply

Twitter users took Eric Trump to task Thursday over his latest conspiratorial tweet — and they hit back at President Donald Trump’s son with a single word.

Eric Trump wrote “people know exactly what is going on in this country” in reply to conspiracy theorist Mike Cernovich’s note that Democratic nominee Joe Biden had won more votes than former President Barack Obama in 2008.

It was Eric Trump’s latest effort to stave off defeat for his father, having been busted sharing a fake video of someone burning ballots the day before.

The president has falsely declared that he’s already won the election, promoted voter fraud conspiracy theories and repeatedly attacked the democratic process.

Twitter users pointed out that, yes, most people did know what was going on in the country. And that was “democracy.”

Alito Temporarily Orders Late-Arriving Pennsylvania Ballots Segregated

A U.S. Supreme Court justice issued a temporary order requiring Pennsylvania officials to segregate ballots that arrived after Election Day, granting for now a request by the state’s Republican Party.

Justice Samuel Alito’s order came as part of a fight over ballots received during a three-day extension issued before the election by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

It’s far from clear the skirmish will affect the election fight between President Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden, who is leading in the pivotal state. The state’s top elections official, Kathy Boockvar, said Thursday the number of late-arriving ballots would be only a “tiny fraction” of the 60,000 received in the three days after the primary in June.

Although state officials have already told county officials to separate out the late-arriving ballots, Republicans said that step didn’t go far enough to ensure they can be invalidated later.

Alito, a Republican appointee who handles emergency matters from Pennsylvania, ordered Democrats to respond by Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Washington time to the Republican request. He said he would refer the matter to the full high court for the next steps.

Alito stopped short of barring the ballots from being preliminarily counted but said they should be tallied separately.
