While reporting first-quarter results on Friday, MOGU Inc. (MOGU) said the Gross Merchandise Value from its Live eCommerce business continues to grow, rising by 14.7% year-over-year and accounting for 90.8% of the company’s total GMV during the quarter. Gross Merchandise Value for the first quarter declined 8.2% year-over-year. The company also announced that its board has authorized a new share repurchase program, which allows to repurchase up to $10 million of shares, effective until August 26, 2022.

First quarter net loss attributable to ordinary shareholders was RMB 95.5 million, compared to a loss of RMB 88.9 million, prior year. Loss per ADS was RMB 1.00 compared to a loss of RMB 0.81. Adjusted net loss was RMB 24.3 million compared to adjusted net loss of RMB 14.4 million, previous year.

Total revenues decreased by 30.6% to RMB 92.0 million from a year ago. Commission revenues decreased by 23.7% to RMB 65.1 million primarily attributable to the lower GMV due to the heightened competitive environment.

Myanmar to vaccinate Rohingya minority, won't leave any behind -army spokesman

(Reuters) – Myanmar will vaccinate the minority Rohingya people against the coronavirus in Rakhine state, a spokesman for its ruling military council said on Friday.

Spokesman Zaw Min Tun told a news conference the minority were “our people as well” adding, “we will not leave anyone behind” in the vaccination programme. He referred to the Rohingya as Bengali.

Ubiquiti Q4 Profit Rises; Stock Up

Ubiquiti Inc. (UI) reported that its fourth-quarter net income rose to $154.33 million or $2.46 per share from last year’s $92.62 million or $1.45 per share, primarily driven by an increase in revenue and higher gross margin.

In Friday pre-market trade, UI was trading at $322.00 up $21.46 or 7.14%.

Non-GAAP net income per share was $2.47 compared to $1.46 in the previous year.

Revenues for the fourth quarter were $477.9 million, representing an increase from the comparable prior year period of 51.5%. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report revenues of $463.93 million for the quarter. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude special items.

The company’s board declared a $0.60 per share cash dividend payable on September 15, 2021 to shareholders of record at the close of business on September 7, 2021.

Gold gains ₹99 on firm global trends

Gold in the national capital on Friday gained ₹99 to ₹46,312 per 10 gram amid a recovery in global precious metal prices, according to HDFC Securities.

Gold in the national capital on Friday gained ₹99 to ₹46,312 per 10 gram amid a recovery in global precious metal prices, according to HDFC Securities.

In the previous trade, the precious metal had closed at ₹46,213 per 10 gram.

Silver, however, dipped marginally by ₹32 to ₹61,667 per kilogram from ₹61,699 per kilogram in the previous trade.

In the international market, gold was trading higher at $1,798 per ounce and silver was flat at $23.66 per ounce.

"Gold prices traded higher with spot gold prices at COMEX trading at $1,798 per ounce on Friday," according to HDFC Securities, Senior Analyst (Commodities), Tapan Patel.
