Some People Flip Real Estate. I Flip Men.

Give me a fixer-upper and I’ll turn him into someone desirable — for someone else.

By Kelly Sundberg

I am a man flipper. I meet a man, fix him up and flip him to someone else. Unlike people who flip real estate — buying houses, renovating them and selling them for a tidy profit — I see no gain from this arrangement, only loss.

Joe Biden To Host Los Angeles Dodgers At the White House

The Los Angeles Dodgers will visit the White House on Friday eight months after the team won the 2020 World Series.

Joined by Vice President Kamala Harris, a former California Senator, President Joe Biden will greet members of the team in a morning ceremony in the East Room, the White House said Thursday.

The Dodgers was one of two Los Angeles professional teams to win a major championship last fall, along with 2020 NBA champions, the Lakers. The basketball team has not visited the White House, in part because of the league’s strict COVID-19 protocols.

This marks the first sports time to visit the White House under Biden, restoring a tradition that was largely paused during the Donald Trump presidency, largely because top athletes on winning teams refused to meet with him over some of his controversial comments and policies.

Mary Trump Reveals The Family Members Most Likely To Turn Against Donald Trump

Mary Trump, estranged niece of Donald Trump, said the former president shouldn’t count on total loyalty from some of those closest to him.

Specifically, three of his adult children: Don Jr., Eric and Ivanka.

“His relationship with them, and their relationship with him, is entirely transactional and conditional,” she told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow on Thursday. “They’re not going to risk anything for him, just as he wouldn’t risk anything for them.”

Mary Trump spoke just hours after the criminal indictment was announced against the Trump Organization and longtime Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg on charges that include conspiracy, grand larceny, criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records.

They’ve pleaded not guilty, and Weisselberg reportedly has remained loyal to Trump and is not cooperating against him with investigators.

Maddow noted that the indictment says other executives may have benefited from the same scheme ― meaning the three Trump siblings could be the next to face legal peril.

And Mary Trump said they might handle things differently than Weisselberg.

“I think [Donald Trump] would be surprised to learn that I don’t believe my cousins would exercise that kind of loyalty towards him,” she said.

Teva Recalls One Lot Of Topotecan Injection

Teva Pharmaceuticals has recalled a single lot of Topotecan Injection 4 mg/4 mL (1 mg/mL) due to presence of particulate matter, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said.

The recall involves lot 31328962B of Topotecan Injection with expiry date 04/2022 to the retail/institutional level in the United States. Topotecan Injection, as a single agent, is indicated for the treatment of patients with metastatic ovarian cancer and small cell lung cancer platinum-sensitive disease.

Teva distributed the product across the country to six of its Wholesale customers.

The recall was initiated following a complaint received from a pharmacy after a single glass particle was observed inside one vial.

After further examination of the complaint sample, two other particulates were found and identified as one grey silicone particle and one translucent, colorless cotton fiber.

According to the agency, the administration of an injectable product that contains particulate matter may result in local irritation or swelling in response to the foreign material. The particulate matter can reach the blood vessels, and can travel to various organs and block blood vessels in the heart, lungs or brain that may cause stroke and even lead to death.

Meanwhile, Teva’s internal health assessment determined that the likelihood of patient exposure to impacted product is remote or unlikely.

The company has not received any further complaints or reports of illness or injury too date related to the recalled item.

Maruti Suzuki now offers subscription services

Maruti Suzuki has expanded the reach of its car subscription service to Jaipur, Indore, Mangaluru and Mysuru. The carmaker now offers its subscription-based car ownership programme in 19 cities across India. The programme is being offered in partnership with Orix, Miles and ALD Automotive.

Introduced in July last year, Maruti Suzuki Subscribe was initially available in Bengaluru and Gurugram.

Under the subscription programme, buyers can acquire select new cars from Maruti Suzuki against payment of a monthly fee that varies depending on the type of registration, subscription tenure, yearly mileage and the vehicle and variant selected.

Buyers have the option to get their vehicle with a white plate registered in their own name or a black plate registered in the subscription partner’s name, that is, Orix, Miles or ALD. The subscription tenures vary between 12 and 48 months — 12 month intervals for white plate and six month intervals for black plates. Annual distance coverage varies between 10,000-25,000km.

However, not all Maruti cars are available on a subscription basis though buyers do get a wide selection of models. Cars available for subscription include the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Wagon R, Dzire, Vitara Brezza and Ertiga from the carmaker’s range of Arena models. From the more premium Nexa range, customers can subscribe to the entire range of models available from the Ignis to the S-Cross.
