Besieged civilians in Eastern Ghouta await UN aid

It remains unclear whether the resolution which demands a 30-day pause in fighting will bring any relief for besieged civilians in Eastern Ghouta.

    The two major rebel groups in Syria’s Eastern Ghouta welcomed on Saturday a UN resolution demanding a 30-day ceasefire across the country to allow aid access and medical evacuations.

    But it is still unclear whether it will bring any relief for besieged civilians in Eastern Ghouta.
