A man said he was outraged after a white woman allegedly accused him of trying to steal his own car when he was actually giving the passenger seat a clean.
The Bristol resident, who is black, claimed the woman was "racially profiling him" in an altercation in the city.
In the footage he recorded on his phone, Twitter user @Akheyre76 shows the verbal spat between himself and a female cyclist – which has since been watched more than 1.3 million times.
He accuses the woman of being "racist", but she claims that it's "nothing to do with race" and says she thinks there is a high incidence of car crime in the area.
"This lady thinks I’m robbing my own car because I’m black," he says, narrating the incident as it happened on Saturday morning.
"What’s your reg number?" she asks.
The woman adds: "You look like you're rifling through someone’s car."
Outraged, he hits back: "That’s my own car! You think I’m robbing my own car!"
"What's the reg number?" she asks again, trying to get him to prove that the car is really his.
"Call the police! Call the police!" he says.
"I might do," she says.
He then starts swearing at her and says: "Get out of here, racist."
"Lovely," she says, before adding: "It's nothing about race."
The woman then claims that there’s "lots of car crime in this road", which is why she was concerned.
In the caption, he wrote: "This morning I was in my car cleaning the passenger seat and this white lady came up to me accusing me of being a thief.
"I’ve lived in this area in Bristol for the past 10 years.
"I’ve been parking my car here for years now and I’ve never seen anything like this before."
