A man has lost part of his lips after having his head stamped on and being thrown to the ground during a fight on a night out.
Simon Evans was chased by Martin Davies, and held up his hands in a “boxing stance”, Wales Online reports.
The incident took place on August 21, in Swansea, and CCTV footage shows that Mr Evans then lowered his fists, to indicate that he did not want to fight.
However, Swansea Crown Court heard how Mr Davies had other ideas after his soon-to-be victim walked away from the scene.
Prosecutor Jim Davis said: "During the course of that exchange [Mr Evans] admits raising his fists. Simon Evans walked away and the defendant followed and took hold of his neck from behind and fell on top of him and started biting his face.
"From what the defendant said afterwards he intended to bite his nose but he bit part of the lips, partially severing them".
Mr Davies then chillingly told Mr Evans: “Here is your f***ing nose you c***.”
The lower lip was cut “as far as the muscle”, and the victim was taken to Morriston Hospital where he underwent plastic surgery.
According to Mr Davis, his client now has “lifelong visible injury to his face”, and also suffered injuries to his forehead.
Mr Davies handed himself into to police ten days later.

And Huw Davies – not related to his client Martin Davies – mitigating, told the court: “He voluntarily surrendered himself to police having been informed they wanted to interview him.
“The injury is acknowledged and the use of teeth to cause injury is accepted.
“The pre-sentence report states he had limited empathy over his victim but since the report he has reflected on his behaviour and he bitterly regrets it and is genuinely remorseful.
“It was never his intention to cause injury.
“He recognises he has a problem with alcohol and intends to refrain from drinking on his release.”
