Brits are being urged to buy up turnips instead of tomatoes as a way of coping with supermarket vegetable shortages.
While it may mean quite the change to a traditional bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich, it comes as supermarkets begin rationing vegetables over a shortage of supply.
Environment and Food Minister Therese Coffey has said the shortages will last about "another two to four weeks" but experts are worried that prices could be "sky high" until then.

Since then though, Coffey has suggested seasonal eating be trialled and that supermarkets are "importing far too much produce", and that Brits should instead support "our own British farmers".
Her comments come as Asda, Aldi, Tesco and Morrisons begin to ration vegetables to just three items per customer, or two in the case of Morrisons.
Food Minister Coffey said: "A lot of people would be eating turnips right now rather than thinking necessarily about aspects of lettuce, and tomatoes and similar".
She did note, however, that "consumers want a year-round choice and that is what our supermarkets, food producers and growers around the world try to satisfy."
But Brits hoping to grab their five a day have already been limited to three by supermarkets after a "perfect storm" of trouble hit the world veggie economy.

Clive Black of Shore Capital noted that poor weather in Spain and morocco had caused that "perfect storm" and had a knock-on impact to British vegetable stock.
Speaking to Daily Mail, he said the crisis was leading to "sky-high prices for tomatoes and cucumbers", with supermarket shortages set to drag on for "weeks".
Daily Star previously reported the shop shelves that were stripped bare by the supply chain troubles and the subsequent rationing introduced by supermarkets.
Salad essentials such as lettuce, salad bags, tomatoes and cucumbers have all been hit by a three veg ruling in chain supermarkets.
