A cancelled contract between holiday firm TUI and a Greek hotel has led to heartbreak for dozens of brides and grooms.

Emily Dabinett-Jones, 23, was among over 40 women who spent £10,000 on their special day next year at the Atlantica Holiday Village on the island of Kos.

But Miss Dabinett-Jones became concerned when the venue stopped appearing on TUI’s website, The Sun reports.

After waiting to hear back from TUI, she decided to take action and contacted the hotel directly.

Miss Dabinett-Jones says she was told that the hotel was involved in negotiations with TUI as their contract had expired.

But their weddings are under threat after the contract expired between the luxury hotel (pictured) and holiday giant TUI

The mother-of-two from Welshpool, Powys, is engaged to high school sweetheart Oliver Hughes, 24.

She said: ‘We are devastated. We had our hearts set on our big day. To think it might not be happening is heartbreaking.’

Another bride-to-be Katie Cooper says she has reached out to TUI’s wedding co-ordinator, but is yet to hear anything.

A TUI spokesman told The Sun that couples would be offered an alternative hotel a ten-minute drive away or else receive a refund.

They added: ‘Our customer services teams will be in touch directly to discuss options within seven days.’
