Dog ‘cries’ and refuses to get out of car in bid to stop best pal from leaving

A dog that grew to love his owner's brother has been filmed 'crying' and refusing to get out of a driver's seat when he was about to leave.

Douyin user "Lingwang" said her brother and his family came back home for the Chinese New Year holidays and stayed for a week in the city of Foshan in Guangdong province, China.

During his stay, the brother spent time taking care of the German shepherd and playing with him all day long.

Video shared onto Lingwang's account captures the moment the dog jumping onto his best friend's car and stopping him from leaving home.

The man tries to push the canine away but it wouldn't budge even when other family members trying to scare him.

"Come on buddy," he says. "I can always come back and visit. Now move on."

The dog sits up straight and leans his back onto the man's lap.

When the father comes out of the house to pick up the pooch, he realises the animal is "crying".

He wipes the tears and tells his son: "He's crying. Okay, now come here. Get out of the car now, here."

Lingwang later explained in the caption that her brother had to stay for another night before heading back to Guangzhou.

Viewers were convinced that the dog was trying to save the brother and his family from something unlucky.

One wrote: "Usually this is a sign telling you that something bad might happen and the dog is stopping this from happening."

Another said: "The dog must have sensed something, just wait for another day and leave tomorrow."

Some believed the brother had completely spoiled the dog during the holiday so that it won't let him go.

"Your brother must have spent a lot of time playing with him! He loves him so much," a viewer said.

"The dog knows who's treating him well," a second added. "Bring him with you."
