Tiny dog steals the show as it darts in and out of the Household Cavalry’s horses as they ride down the Mall to the Changing of the Guard
- The pocket-sized pooch got caught up in the Changing of the Guards parade
- Kerry Skinner, 27, filmed the scene and said everyone was ‘dying with laughter’
- After the horses had passed a distressed Spanish woman came over waving a lead and shouting the dog’s name
This is the moment a tiny dog gets caught up in the Changing of the Guard parade and sends onlookers into fits of laughter.
Kerry Skinner, 27, was cycling through London when she had to stop and wait for the royal parade to pass.
She said: ‘I was just cycling down the Mall and had to pull over and wait for a royal parade to come past and a tiny white dog who had run away from its owner in Green Park ran out into the procession.
‘It absolutely stole the show.
‘Every single person there watching was dying with laughter.’
A mounted police officer comes into frame and loud yapping can be heard.
Then a pocket-sized pooch can be seen bounding out in front of the horse and dashing around its legs.
A police officer in a high-vis jacket can be seen trying to chase after the dog and intercept it, to no avail.
The procession of royal guards on horses then continues to walk down the Mall while the little dog carries on stealing the show.
Ms Skinner added: ‘Even the police and army controlling the crowds were finding it hard to cover their amusement.
‘Some police tried to catch the tiny dog but it was too busy sprinting around barking at all the horses that were five times its size.
‘After the horses had passed a distressed Spanish woman came running by waving a dog lead in the air shouting the dog’s name.’
Ms Skinner believes the dog’s name is Chupi.
