A former beauty queen has admitted sending naked pictures to one of her students.
Ramsey BethAnn Bearse, 29, who was crowned Miss Kentucky in 2014, pleaded guilty this week to sending nudes to the teen on Snapchat, after claiming they were meant for her husband.
The married teacher told a court she continued to sext the boy when he asked for more photos because she "was afraid not to appease him".
She pleaded guilty on Tuesday to one count of possessing material depicting minors in sexually explicit conduct.
The court heard that the boy also send nudes of himself to the teacher as the pair exchanged naked snaps between August and October 2018.
Bearse was arrested and charged in December last year after the boy's parent found the photos of Bearse on his phone, according to a criminal complaint.
The pictures were of her naked chest, the West Virginia Metro News reported at the time.
She lost her job as a year 8 science teacher as a result of the scandal.
"Since I am the adult, and he was just a teenager, it is my fault, and I accept full blame for the situation," Bearse said in court.
"So that's how I'm guilty of this crime. I messed up big time."
She is due to be sentenced next month and will face several years in jail.
As well as jail time, she faces 50 years on probation and may be put on the sex offenders' register for life.
Bearse was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when she was diagnosed in 2010 and served as an ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
She used her time as Miss Kentucky to raise awareness of the disease.
Bearse was known as "The Girl with the Green Fiddle" and played bluegrass music when she was crowned pageant queen.
She is not the only former Miss Kentucky to be arrested.
In 2017, a grand jury indicted 28-year-old Kia Hampton for smuggling marijuana into an Ohio prison for another inmate.
