MAGICIAN James Randi has died at the age of 92.
The award-winning magic man The Amazing Randi, who exposed those who falsely claimed to have paranormal powers, passed away at his home in Plantation, Florida.
James was known for using his talents to debunk false claims of mind reading and ghost whispering made by others.
His death was announced by the James Randi Educational Foundation, who said he had died of "age-related causes" on Tuesday.
James Randi said that in his professional life, he was driven by anger that innocent members of the public were being ripped off by fake psychics and mediums.

He said in 2014 documentary An Honest Liar: "People who are stealing money from the public, cheating them and misinforming them — that’s the kind of thing that I’ve been fighting all my life.
"Magicians are the most honest people in the world: They tell you they’re going to fool you, and then they do it."
In 1972, Randi gained the international spotlight when he publicly challenged Uri Geller – who he called a fraud for his spoon bending endeavours.
James began his magic career in the 1940s, when he began working as an illusionist and escape artist.
In his career, the Amazing Randi performed stunts such as escaping from a strait jacket while he was dangling upside down over Niagara Falls, and while suspected over Broadway in New York.
He retired from practising magic at the age of 60.
