The former girlfriend of "jetski Romeo" Dale McLaughlan has been jailed after a vicious attack on a woman she had been feuding with on social media.

At Douglas Courthouse on the Isle of Man, Prosecutor Chrissie Hunt said Jessica Radcliffe and a friend drove to the home of a woman they had a long-running online feud with

Radcliffe, 31, and her friend Leanna Louise Bradley, 33, forced their way into the victim's home and punched and kicked her on the morning of March 31.

Bradley and Radcliffe, from the Isle of Man, both pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm, resisting arrest, and two counts of property damage.

Both were sentenced to eight months behind bars. Bradley was also accused of assaulting a police officer.

The court heard that the pair grabbed the victim’s iPhone and smashed it before kicking and punching her while she screamed for her housemate to protect her young children who were upstairs at the time.

They dragged their victim up the stairs, causing further injuries.

Passing sentence, magistrates chair Michael Murley told the two women: "This was premeditated. The sole purpose of your journey was to carry out the attack. You forcibly entered a house where children were present.

"The injuries caused were serious but it is fortunate they were not more serious."

Radcliffe was previously after her ex-boyfriend Dale McLaughlan’s reckless stunt on December 11 which made headlines around the world.

The 28-year-old dad of two had met her in September while working on the island as a roofer.

McLaughlan spent £5500 on the jetski, £100 on a marine GPS, £350 on a drysuit, £20 on a dry bag, and took a Covid-19 test which came back negative ahead of his jaunt.

He set off on the 25-mile, four-and-a-half-hour journey from the Isle of Whithorn in Dumfries-shire, and after reaching land, he walked 15 miles to his lover’s home.

But he and Radcliffe were stopped by police while going to a pub on the island, leading to his arrest the next day.

He served 10 days of a four-week jail term and was told not to return to the island.

On his release, the self-confessed "crap James Bond" said: "I would do anything for Jessica, I think I’ve proved that to the whole world, to be honest. I would do it all over again."

But sadly for romantics everywhere, the couple broke up in April of this year.
