A LOCK of hair which belonged to Elvis Presley is set to sell for £6,000.
The dark strands were collected by his barber Homer Gilleland and sold after Presley’s 1977 death.
Gil got to know Elvis in the 1950s when he cut his mum Gladys’ hair.
He later styled Presley’s hair on tour, movie sets and at Graceland.
The lock is being sold by Tom Unwin, 75.
The retired building site boss, of Kidsgrove, Staffs, bought it from a fellow Elvis fan club member.
He said: “I’ve had so much enjoyment from my memorabilia, I would like others to experience that same enjoyment.”
Hanson’s Auctioneers in Etwall, Derbys, said: “This offers fans a chance to own a little piece of the legend.
“His hair had an impact on the world, too.
“He was renowned for paying great attention to his famous locks.”
