A man has died after he fell from an apartment complex as he tried to climb through the window on Mill Road, Ireland.

Police were called to the scene at around 1.25am following reports of an unresponsive man on the ground near the apartment block.

Paramedics also attended the scene and the victim, now identified as a 33-year-old man, was found to have fatal injuries.

Shortly after their arrival, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, the Irish Mirror reports.

The area was cordoned off pending completion of a forensic examination, while the man’s body was later removed.

He was taken to University Hospital Limerick where a post-mortem examination will be carried out on Tuesday, police have confirmed.

Gardai are continuing their inquiries into what, at this time, appears to be have been a tragic accident.

Investigating cops have canvassed the local area for CCTV footage to help them with their investigation, it has been reported.

It’s understood police believe the man may have been attempting to climb in a window in an effort to gain access to his apartment when he fell.

This is believed to be one of the possibilities that Gardai are investigating.

Superintendent Brendan McDonagh of Ennis confirmed cops are following a number of lines of inquiry.

At this stage, police are treating the incident as non-suspicious and it appears to have been a tragic accident.
