Meghan and Harry ‘look in fierce competition’ with William and Kate, expert says

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry look like they're in "fierce competition" with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, an expert believes.

The Sussexes rocked the monarchy last year as they announced their exit as senior royals but insisted they wanted to continue to serve the Queen and the Commonwealth.

However, Kate Middleton and Prince William, who celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary this week, have continued their royal duties.

Royal expert and known Sussex-critic, Angela Levin, said Meghan and Harry appeared "competitive" with the future king and queen.

Levin told the Sun: “I think Meghan and Harry feel they are always in control of the narrative and they feel they are in fierce competition – like a battle – with the Cambridges.

“But wise Kate and William are just trying to get on with their lives."

Levin added: "We saw this very much in their wonderful video with the children running around. William and Kate don’t have to say anything in this rift.

“They just naturally play with their children and they naturally show that they don’t need them and that ‘we can manage without Harry and Meghan.’ It’s just there in the pictures.

“It’s a different way of fighting in this ‘war of the brothers’ and I think William and Kate have been much successful than the Sussexes being super grand and ‘always right’ and wanting to change the world.”

The Cambridges have stayed silent on the reports of a feud between themselves and Sussexes.

However, William insisted the family was "very much not racist" after his brother and sister-in-law told Oprah there were concerns over the skin tone of their son, Archie.

The first steps towards reconciliation were seen as Harry attended his grandfather Prince Philip's funeral.

He was spotted speaking to his brother and reportedly had a face-to-face meeting with his dad, Prince Charles and William for the first time in a year.

Kate Middleton was reportedly the peacemaker between the brothers after stepping back to allow them to speak as they left the chapel.
