Mum's heartbreaking post after son, 13, collapses in park and dies

A DEVASTATED mum says her "life is ruined" after her 13-year-old son was found dead in a park in Wales.

The schoolboy, named locally as Carson Price, was discovered unconscious in Ystrad Mynach in South Wales, last night, but sadly passed away in hospital.

Cops said they were treating the death as "unexplained" and that no arrests had been made.

His heartbroken mum Tatum Price posted on Facebook today, saying: "I'm broken my life is over".

Floral tributes have been placed at the park where Carson was discovered as cops carry out a post mortem to establish how he died.

Chris Parry, his head teacher as Lewis School Pengam, said everyone at the school was "shocked and devastated at the terrible news".

He added: "It is with immense sadness that today we have heard the terrible news that one of our pupils has tragically passed away.

"Everyone in our school is shocked and devastated by the loss of one of our own.

"I'm sure everyone in our community will join with us in sharing our deepest sympathies with the pupils's friends and family at this awful time."

Cops confirmed his family are currently being supported by specialist officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Sam Payne, added: “At this time inquiries are ongoing and the investigation into this young boy’s death are still in the early stages.

“Specialists are working to determine the exact cause of death and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

“I’d like to appeal to anyone who can assist with our investigation."
