A mum of two was left with horrific facial injuries after being brutally attacked her on her own doorstep.
The family of Andrena Wright, 40, want justice for her after the beating in Milton, Glasgow, last Sunday left her in a pool of blood.
Andrena, who suffers from mental health issues, was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where she was treated for a cracked cheekbone, black eye and other bruising.
Her daughter Megan Wright, 23, said her mother was unsure of what went on, according to the Sun.
She said: "The attack resulted in a broken cheek bone and blood in her urine.”
Andrena had arrived home with a Chinese takeaway last Sunday evening when she was set upon outside her front door.
Following the vicious beating she staggered into her house and live-streamed her injuries on Facebook.
On Facebook, Megan wrote: "If anyone was around Haywood Street in Glasgow on Sunday and has any information on who done this to my mentally ill mum please message me."
Megan said she had been back to the house to get some clothes but the incident left her "terrified to be there". She added: "It doesn't feel safe at all anymore."
Police Scotland have confirmed a woman has been charged in connection with the attack.
“We can confirm a 30-year-old woman has been charged in connection with a serious assault which happened in the Haywood Street area of Glasgow on Sunday 8 November, 2020,” a statement read.
“She was expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, 13 November. Enquiries are ongoing.”
